Job summary

Butler Tech Fairfield Township Campus is seeking a Paid Maintenance Intern to gain hands-on experience in facility maintenance under the guidance of experienced staff.

The intern will assist with maintenance and repair tasks across Butler Tech facilities, working up to 29 hours per week with a flexible schedule based on student availability. OSHA 10 is required or obtainable within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• Current Fairfield Township Campus Construction program senior.
• OSHA 10 card or willing and able to obtain within 1 month of employment.
• Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc), facilities maintenance, and hand tools relevant to the position.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide customer service, document progress, organize, prioritize, problem‑solve, think critically, and exercise professional judgement.
• Satisfactory attendance and discipline record.
