Job summary

Ruppert Landscape in Durham, NC invites students to join a 10–12 week Landscape Maintenance Internship from May through August 2027. The program blends field training, job shadowing, mentorship and leadership development to provide real‑world insight into branch operations.

Interns rotate through field operations and office tasks, support teams in irrigation, enhancements, sales and leadership, and present their experiences at the end of the program. Lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Pursuing a related degree in Horticulture, Turf Management, Agribusiness, Business Management, Operations Management, Construction Management, or related field.
• Comfortable using common software including MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on field training across multiple areas of field operations.
• Job shadowing with Field Operations, Irrigation, Enhancements, Sales, and Branch Leadership.
• Dedicated mentorship and regular feedback to support professional development.
• Exposure to team building, professional etiquette, communication, leadership and management best practices.
• Collaborative teamwork on meaningful projects and internships across departments.
• Networking with peers, mentors and leaders within Ruppert Landscape.
