Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our Burlington, NC team for an 11-week paid internship.

You will shadow laboratory professionals, assist with non-testing tasks, and participate in mock testing under supervision while learning diagnostic workflows and instrumentation. The program offers practical, hands-on experience in a real-world setting.

Eligibility: current enrollment in a relevant degree program; pay range is $17.75-22/hr; schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program.
• Interest in laboratory science
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures
• Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts
• Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
• Maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
• Support approved laboratory projects
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures
