Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our team located in South Bend, IN. The internship runs 11 weeks full-time, with a pay range of $17.75-$22/hour, and includes medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.

Shadow laboratory professionals to learn diagnostic workflows, get hands-on experience with non-testing tasks, and participate in approved projects under supervision. Eligible students are pursuing relevant bachelor’s degrees and show strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program.
• Interest in laboratory science.
• Interest in diagnostics industry.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures.
• Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts.
• Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation.
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects.
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
