Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC is seeking a Lab Intern for an 11-week, full-time paid internship. You will shadow laboratory professionals, assist with specimen organization, and participate in mock testing under supervision.

The program offers enterprise-wide learning experiences, mentoring, and exposure to senior leaders. Eligible candidates are rising juniors or seniors pursuing a related degree; internship runs June 1 – August 13, 2027.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor's degree program.
• Interest in laboratory science.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures.
• Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and concepts.
• Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation.
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects.
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
