Job summary

Butler Tech is seeking a Paid Field Technician Intern to support staff at the Central Office. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, answer questions, and research solutions while serving as a student leader on campus.

Interns work 8–20 hours per week, with a schedule set at the start of the internship. The program runs from September to April and includes Butler Tech shirts and tools to keep after completion.

Qualifications

• Current Fairfield Township Campus student in IT, Engineering, Digital/Emerging Media, or Business.
• Previous Support Desk Intern experience.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking relevant to the position.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Ability to provide customer service, document progress, organize, prioritize, problem-solve, think critically, and exercise professional judgement.
• Satisfactory attendance and discipline record.

Responsibilities

• Provide front line tier 1 and 2 support for Butler Tech staff in the Central Office.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software and answer technical questions.
• Research solutions to problems and provide user advice.
• Evaluate the state and future of the Butler Tech mobile app.
