Job summary

BorgWarner in Arden, NC is seeking a Human Resources Intern to support day-to-day HR tasks and projects. This role provides hands-on learning across Generalist and Specialist HR functions within a Tier 1 automotive supplier environment.

You will help standardize employee records, assist onboarding, and create communications campaigns, while gaining exposure to EH&S, training, and student programs. This is a part-time, on-site internship requiring 30 hours per week or less.

Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in HR Management or Business Management with a 3.0 GPA minimum.
• Courses in recruitment, employment laws, org development, compensation, training or payroll preferred.
• Previous business work experience is a plus.
• Flexible part-time schedule up to 30 hours per week.
• Self-driven and able to perform entry-level HR tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication; confidentiality handling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in standardizing and digitalizing employee records.
• Assist HR Business Partners with onboarding tasks.
• Develop and implement communications campaigns on EH&S and engagement.
• Support recruitment, onboarding/offboarding for Arden Student Program.
• Support data quality audits using HRIS.
• Assist in training course creation for hourly workforce.
• Additional tasks as assigned by HR/EHS teams.
