Job summary

DLR Group is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Portland/Seattle. Join our EPX program to gain hands-on design experience, work with licensed engineers, and contribute to electrical system design for diverse building projects.

The internship runs May 18 through August 6, 2027, is paid, and requires completion of at least one year in an ABET-accredited EE/AE program with BIM experience. This is not a remote position.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year in ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM workflow (Autodesk Revit MEP).
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Work with a licensed engineer designing electrical systems for new construction or renovations.
• Attend design team meetings and observe multidisciplinary coordination.
• Assist in design and development of construction documents primarily using Revit.
• Visit an active construction site when feasible.
