Job summary

DLR Group in Minneapolis invites applications for an Electrical Engineering Intern to contribute to electrical system design for buildings and to work with engineers across disciplines.

The paid, full‑time EPX summer program runs May 18 through August 6, 2027. Interns gain hands‑on experience from concept through construction documentation, participate in design meetings and site visits, and develop skills in Revit and BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year at an ABET‑accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.

Responsibilities

• Work with a licensed engineer designing electrical systems for new construction and/or building renovation projects.
• Attend design team meetings with an electrical engineer and observe coordination within a multi-disciplinary design team.
• Assist an electrical engineer with the design and development of construction documents primarily using Revit.
• Visit an active construction site (contingent on local construction status).
