Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee to join our learning-focused program in the United States. Under supervision, the trainee provides personal care to clients and supports the care team, while advancing toward certification as a CNA.

The program blends online coursework with hands-on skills development, and successful completion prepares the trainee for state exams to obtain CNA certification. A commitment to the 16-hour weekly schedule is required.

Qualifications

• Must enroll in Nursing Assistant Training Program and complete training in designated timeframe.
• CNA license required within four months of employment; driver’s license may be required.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic health care needs and activities of daily living as assigned.
• Support clients with meals and hydration; provide nutrition supplements as appropriate.
• Assist with transferring, range of motion exercises, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Document client care and communicate changes to a licensed nurse.
• Follow location-specific infection control and safety standards.
