Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in Mandan, ND offers a Nursing Assistant Trainee program designed to develop confidence and competence to provide personal care under a licensed nurse. The trainee, in a hybrid online and hands-on format, prepares to take state CNA exams upon completion.

During training, you will assist with activities of daily living, document care, and support the care team while adhering to location standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required within four months of employment.
Applicable states may require Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry registration.
Dependent on facility, may require Sanford Driving Policy-compliant driving; must have valid license.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing).
Assist with transferring, positioning, range-of-motion exercises, and mobility.
Support meals, hydration, and nutritional supplements; document care as appropriate.
Communicate changes in client condition to a licensed nurse; follow care plans.

Education

CNA license in progress or required within four months
