Job summary

Sanford Health is offering a Nursing Assistant Trainee program where you will be enrolled in a learning experience to develop skills to provide personal care under a licensed nurse. The program blends online coursework with hands-on practice and prepares you to take CNA certification exams.

During training, you will earn $19.09 per hour as an uncertified trainee; after certification, pay increases to $22.60 per hour or more depending on prior CNA experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA license required within four months of employment.
• For applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver depending on facility.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities under supervision.
• Document client care and communicate changes to a licensed nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, meals, and basic health care needs as trained.
