Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Manassas, VA is seeking highly motivated Civil Engineering Interns for our Summer 2027 intern program.

This is a paid full-time internship, anticipated to run June through August 2027 with a potential transition to a full-time role after graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders, collaborating with engineers, scientists, and technologists on design tasks, site layout, grading, and construction drawing

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid technical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineer design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development.
• Support site layout and grading, utility design, cost estimates, bridge and highway design.
• Assist in preparing civil construction drawings.
• Work with AUTOCAD, Civil-3D, HydroCAD, Microstation, PondPack, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
