Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking highly motivated Civil Engineering Interns for the Summer 2027 program out of the Rancho Cordova, CA office.

This is a paid full-time internship with a potential transition to a full-time role after graduation. The successful candidate will work under Project Managers and Team Leaders, collaborating with engineers, scientists, and technologists on civil design tasks, site layouts, and construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, CAD, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid technical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineer design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development.
• Assist in site layout and grading, utility design, cost estimates, bridge and highway design.
• Prepare civil construction drawings and read project plans and specs.
