Job summary

Braun Intertec is offering a six-month traveling Co-op from January to May in the Chicago area. You will perform field testing on soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt, under the supervision of licensed engineers and project managers.

Training includes safety, nuclear density gauge, ACI Field Technician I, and laboratory methods. Applicants should be comfortable outdoors, lift 50–75 lbs, and commit to full-time work for six months.

Qualifications

• Outdoor/field testing experience is preferred.
• Candidates must be physically able to lift 50–75 lbs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Aptitude for basic mathematical calculations used in testing.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on construction materials (soils, concrete, masonry, asphalt).
• Assist project managers and technicians to ensure specifications are followed on site.
• Work with onsite teams on various construction projects and document results.
• Adhere to safety procedures and manual handling guidelines.
