Job summary

Intermountain Health offers an Ambulatory Care Services Administrative Internship designed to augment classroom learning and develop future healthcare leaders through short-term strategic and operational projects. You will work with leadership, mentor, attend meetings, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

The internship focuses on patient experience, service strategy, and proactive care models, with locations across Utah and Nevada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution.
• Completion of one year of a post-graduate degree program (preferably in Business, Public Health, or Health Services Administration).
• Demonstrated leadership ability and skills in critical thinking, strategic planning, analysis and systems thinking.
• Demonstrated proficiency with business computer applications (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, databases).
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and supports a variety of projects that meet departmental and facility needs.
• Attends team/clinic meetings and shares knowledge and skills relevant to the meeting.
• Gains knowledge of the department's functions and shadows various clinic roles to understand organizational duties.
• Projects: may work on one or more initiatives with independence or as part of a team to meet timelines and deliver results.
