Job summary

Intermountain Children’s Health invites applicants to join a 10-12 week paid summer internship based at the Primary Children's Salt Lake City campus, with possible assignments to Miller Campus in Lehi and Taylorsville. The program offers exposure to hospital operations within a nationally recognized health system.

You will spend time with senior leaders, attend governance meetings, and select a sponsor-approved project to lead.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; degree verification.
Completion of one year of a post-graduate degree program (preferably in Business, Public Health, or Health Services Administration).
Demonstrated leadership ability and skills in critical thinking, strategic planning, analysis and systems thinking.
Proficiency with business software applications (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, databases).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Spends time with senior leaders, department directors and managers to understand their business environment and existing critical issues; assists with projects.
Regularly attends Executive Council Meeting and attends Governing Board Meeting, Medical Executive Meeting, and Physician Committee Meeting as appropriate.
Selects and implements at least one project approved by supervising Executive Sponsor.
Assists with general administrative duties as they arise.
