Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Ambulatory Care Services Internship offers an educational opportunity to work with senior leadership on strategic and operational improvement projects within the Medical Group. You will be paired with an executive mentor, attend leadership meetings, and engage in development workshops while delivering a process improvement initiative.

Applicants should be enrolled in a master's program and demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of one year of a post-graduate degree program (preferably in Business, Public Health, or Health Services Administration).
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and skills in critical thinking, strategic planning, analysis and systems thinking.
  • Proficiency with business computer applications (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, databases).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in and supports a variety of projects that advance department goals.
  • Attends team/clinic meetings and shares knowledge and skills relevant to the meetings.
  • Gains understanding of department/clinic functions and assists in process improvements.
  • May shadow various roles within clinics to comprehend organizational roles.
  • Contributes to project timelines and delivers assigned tasks.
