Job summary

Austin Industrial is offering a 2027 Summer Internship Program across Construction, Maintenance, Estimating, Project Controls, Accounting and more. The interns will work on a defined project, learn Austin Industrial operations, and collaborate with departmental teams.

The program is paid for 12 weeks, running May 17 to August 6, 2027, with opportunities to visit active project sites. The internship is based at our La Porte, TX office, though assignments may depend on location.

Qualifications

• Active junior or senior pursuing a degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, Accounting, etc.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and be able to work up to 40 hours per week.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams.

Responsibilities

• Assignments vary based on department requirements.
• Perform analytical reviews recommending ideas that enhance the overall business function.
• Assist in daily activities learning different aspects of a business environment.
• Participate in a final project that combines coursework with real-world experience resulting in a product or process.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
