Job summary

Austin Industries in Dallas, TX invites applications for its 2027 Summer Accounting Internship Program. This paid, 12-week, full-time internship exposes you to month-end close processes and project financial analysis.

You will work with our accounting team, gain hands-on experience with CMiC ERP, budgeting, reconciliations, and reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentors.

Qualifications

• Must be an active junior or senior college student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Target graduation date between December 2027 and December 2028.
• Able to work up to 40 hours per week.
• Must commute onsite to Dallas, TX.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to think analytically and work in project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare, analyze, and review monthly SGA departments.
• Prepare and enter journal entries.
• Scan backup and supporting documents into CMiC (ERP system).
• Assist in the mid-year forecast process.
• Support various levels and sub-departments within the accounting team on special projects.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports.
