Job summary

Austin Industries, a leading U.S.-based construction company, offers an internal audit internship program with exposure to audits, risk-based testing, and internal controls. The paid 12-week, full-time internship runs May 17 to August 6, 2027, reporting to the Dallas, TX HQ and including site visits and social/volunteer events for employee-owners.

Qualifications

• Must be an active junior or senior college student working toward a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Targeted graduation date between December 2027 and December 2028
• Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week
• Must be able to commute onsite to assigned location
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across business operations
• Develop workpapers and document testing attributes
• Support data analysis, audit testing, and reporting activities
• Meet with project personnel at job sites to complete assigned work and tour job sites
• Travel approximately 10%
