Del Sol Medical Center is launching a Nursing Residency Program to bridge the transition from student nurse to registered nurse. As a Resident I Graduate Nurse, you will join a supportive community of nurse educators and experienced nurses, gaining hands-on experience in a year-long program with mentorship, clinical training, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider and document care.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor response, and notify provider if needed.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about condition, plan, medications and follow-up measures.
