Job summary

Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, TX, is offering a Nurse Residency Program designed to transition new graduates into professional practice with structured training and mentorship. The program includes advanced clinical training, monthly sessions, preceptorship, and hands-on simulations.

Selected candidates will learn under experienced nurse leaders, contribute to evidence-based practice projects, and participate in a fall cohort starting Sep/Oct/Nov 2026 with a focus on Critical Care

Qualifications

• RN degree/licensure required per state regulations.
• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• No prior nursing experience required for eligibility.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the department.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other tasks as ordered by providers; document care timely.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response and report changes to providers.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care and anticipate patient needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up steps.

Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program

Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment

Other Certifications may be required during employment

No previous experience needed

Some travel may be needed for training
