Job summary

Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, TX, is offering an RN Residency program designed to transition nursing students to registered nurses with hands-on learning and mentorship. The program features advanced clinical training, monthly education, preceptorship, and evidence-based practice projects, with cohort starts in Spring 2027 in Med Surg.

RN residents work closely with care teams to deliver patient-centered care in a high‑acuity hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• RN license or graduate nurse in the state of practice
• No previous experience required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, report changes
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; document care
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response and notify provider as needed
• Provide exceptional care; respond promptly to patient requests
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures
