Job summary

Mercy Health in Lourdes Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. The role focuses on patient assessment, coordination of care, and maintaining a safe, healing environment across pre-op, intra-op and post-op phases.

The position requires an accredited nursing degree and active RN licensure; BLS/ACLS or PALS are preferred. Two years in a Critical Care setting is a plus, with opportunities for CNOR and SGNA credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure is required; BLS/ACLS or PALS preferred at hire.
• CNOR and SGNA credentials are preferred but not required.
• Two years of RN experience in a Critical Care Department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to plan patient care.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments in the OR setting.
• Observe the surgery and assist the team to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care for patients in the OR and coordinate with care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op and post-op care and discharge instructions.
