Job summary

Mercy Health in Warren, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to assess patient status and prioritize needs, while implementing interventions for acute surgical patients.

You will develop care plans, ensure a safe, therapeutic environment, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate pre-, intra-, and post-operative care with discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• RN with an accredited nursing degree (Associate or BSN) required.
• Current state RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications preferred.
• CNOR and SGNA certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and surgical team to maintain a safe environment for the patient.
• Manage nursing care in the OR and coordinate with the surgical team and other providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care including discharge instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
