Job summary

Mercy St. Louis is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the PACU, a Phase I recovery unit. The role supports patients recovering from surgery, collaborating with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient care for adults and pediatrics.

You will perform the nursing process, monitor ventilators and lines, participate in weekend call, and join a mission-driven team that values dignity and compassion. Mercy offers day-one benefits, competitive pay, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and graduation from an accredited RN program.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Strong critical care skills with experience in ventilators, airway management, and vasoactive drips.
• Ability to work in a Phase I PACU recovery unit and collaborate with anesthesia team.
• Availability for 3 x 12-hour shifts, full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and coordinates with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Participates in weekend and holiday call as required.
• Works in a collaborative PACU environment with cross-disciplinary teams.
