Job summary

Mercy St. Louis is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PACU with a full-time schedule. The role involves caring for postoperative patients in a Phase I recovery unit, coordinating with anesthesia and surgical teams, and ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

The unit supports a range of specialties and requires critical care competencies. Strong ventilator and airway management skills are preferred, as is ICU/critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association is required.
• Graduate from an accredited RN program and active RN license.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains accountability for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and safeguards patient rights and confidentiality.
• Cares for PACU patients post-surgery, including adult and pediatric cases, in a Phase I recovery unit.
