Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis PACU is hiring a Full-time Registered Nurse to provide exemplary post-anesthesia care in a Phase I unit. The PACU team collaborates with anesthesia, supports various surgical specialties, and requires strong critical care skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the PACU following surgery or procedures.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams; monitor patients’ vitals and recovery.
• Manage post-anesthesia care, including airway, vent support, and pain control as needed.
• Participate in weekend/holiday call and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
