Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a CN2 Pre-Op / PACU Registered Nurse to deliver pre-operative and immediate post-operative care for a diverse patient population, from pediatric to geriatric. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive nursing care plan, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families throughout the recovery process.

This on-site role requires California RN licensure with BLS/ACLS/PALS, plus 2 years of ICU/ED/PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Valid California RN license
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications
• 2 years of ICU/ED/PACU experience
• English language proficiency
• Knowledge of nursing terminology and standards
• Commitment to patient care excellence
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills
• Ability to document and navigate legal/clinical paperwork
• Basic computer skills and ability to use clinical software
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care plan
• Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction
• Educate patients and families and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Discharge planning and patient education on recovery expectations
• Lead and delegate duties within the nursing team
