Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking a Staff RN for PACU to provide immediate post-operative care for surgical patients. You will manage airway support, monitor neuro and cardiac status, and respond to complications. Collaboration with surgical and anesthesia teams is essential.

On-call availability during select non-business hours will be discussed in the interview. Qualifications include 1 year PACU RN experience, ADN required with BSN preferred, ACLS/BLS within 30 days, and PALS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of RN PACU experience.
• RN; Associate Degree required; BSN preferred
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered post-operative care for surgical patients.
• Manage airway support and monitor neurological and cardiac status.
• Provide initial wound care and ensure patient stability during recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
