Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Orthopedic and Spine Surgery Center in Dallas is seeking a compassionate RN PACU Nurse to support post-operative care and safety, aligning with our mission to deliver high-quality patient outcomes. You will manage airway, monitor vital signs, perform head-to-toe assessments, and ensure discharge readiness while maintaining a comforting environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• ADN or RN Diploma or higher required.
• 1+ year of nursing experience in PACU/ICU or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS if required by facility within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients' care area with adequate equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients per policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac).
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform and document head-to-toe evaluations using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings and report abnormalities to surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and families.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
