Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital in Inverness, FL seeks a Recovery Room Registered Nurse for PACU to deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care in a high-acuity environment. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, while guiding families on medications and care plans.

Requires FL RN license, nursing degree, BLS; ACLS/PALS after 6 months. This PRN position emphasizes teamwork, patient safety and efficient post-op recovery in a supportive hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Nurse license per state rules; FL compact license acceptable with full active FL RN within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and PALS required after 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of post-operative patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
