Job summary

HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking a Recovery Room Registered Nurse for our PACU. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment and will join a supportive team focused on excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include postoperative assessment, patient/family education, record maintenance, and medication administration, with licensure and certifications as required for Florida practice.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Registered Nurse license or compact license with FL requirement within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications as per tenure/role.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills; good interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with patient care documentation and basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of post-operative patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
