Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care, manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and coordinate with surgical and anesthesia teams.

The role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours; you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care and educate patients and families about conditions and follow-up.

Qualifications

• RN license and required certifications documented.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year of nursing experience required.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout shift, and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment and follow-up.
• Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Respond promptly to complications or side effects and provide initial wound care.
