Job summary
Mass General Brigham's PACU at Massachusetts General Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced perioperative environment. The role involves caring for adult and pediatric patients before and after procedures requiring anesthesia, with 24-hour coverage by anesthesia and nurse practitioners.
On-site work at 267 Charles Street, Boston, 36 hours weekly in rotating day/night shifts, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- ASN or BSN required, BSN strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Experience in a critical care environment preferred
- New graduates not considered at this time
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and reports
- Administer medications and monitor for reactions or adverse effects
- Record patient data and vital signs
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the care team
- Coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans
- Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and conditions
