Mass General Brigham's Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACU) in Boston seek a registered nurse to provide bedside nursing care for adult and pediatric patients before and after anesthesia. Qualifications

• ASN or BSN required; BSN strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience.
• Previous experience in a critical care environment (ED, ICU, PACU) preferred.
• New graduates not considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications and monitor for reactions or side effects.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.

Comprised of seven specialized critical care areas, the PACU provides expert care to both adult and pediatric patients before and immediately following surgery and procedures requiring anesthesia.
