Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACU) in Boston seek a registered nurse to provide bedside nursing care for adult and pediatric patients before and after anesthesia. The role involves interpreting care plans, coordinating with the care team, and ensuring safe, competent care in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires 36 hours per week on a rotating day/night schedule, onsite at 267 Charles Street, with comprehensive benefits and retirement plans offered by the health

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN required; BSN strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience.
• Previous experience in a critical care environment (ED, ICU, PACU) preferred.
• New graduates not considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications and monitor for reactions or side effects.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patients' conditions.
• Consult with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement or evaluate care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient responses.
