Lee's Summit Medical Center in the Kansas City area is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality post-operative care, monitor airway and vital signs, and collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient stability.

This role requires current RN licensure, ACLS, BLS, and PALS within specified deadlines, prior PACU or ICU experience, and on-call duties including holidays and weekend rotation. Join a supportive team with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Current RN license required.
• Prior PACU or ICU experience preferred.
• On-call: 1-2 holidays per year and weekend rotation every 6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered post-operative care in PACU.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient stability.
• Monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status; respond to complications.
• Perform initial wound care and document patient changes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
