Job summary

South Kansas City Surgicenter, affiliated with St. Joseph Medical Center, is seeking a PACU RN to join our dedicated surgical services team.

This full-time role is on the day shift and offers an opportunity to contribute to quality patient care within a high-performing department. The RN will deliver patient care using the nursing process in the PACU, coordinate post-operative care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, and guide other staff while upholding standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate current upon hire.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire.
• PACU or critical care experience, or on-the-job training.
• CCRN preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process in the PACU.
• Coordinate post-operative care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct and guide other personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate changes in patients' condition to the physician, including monitoring results.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
