Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City area seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care for surgical patients. You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, respond to complications, and perform initial wound care while ensuring patient stability during recovery.

Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement in a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• RN license is required to practice.
• Graduate RN with a diploma is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU.
• Monitor neurological and cardiac status; manage airway support.
• Respond promptly to complications and adverse events.
• Provide initial wound care and ensure patient stability during recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams and participate in on-call rotations.
