Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond to complications. You will participate with the surgical and anesthesia teams, with on-call hours discussed at interview.

You will deliver high-quality care, educate patients and families, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• Basic Life Support required.
• RN: Registered Nurse with a diploma.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team including providers and therapists.
• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor and document changes throughout shift.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up measures
