Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care, monitor patient status, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams. You will respond quickly to complications, perform initial wound care, and support patient stability during recovery.

This role emphasizes evidence-based nursing, patient education, on-call expectations discussed at interview, and active participation in a high-performing perioperative team.

Qualifications

• ACLS Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS Certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license ( Registered Nurse ) required.
• RN Diploma required for practice.
• No travel required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in nursing

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based nursing practices.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team with providers, therapy, and more.
• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor changes during shift, and document care provided.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments and follow-up.
