Job summary

Mercy South PACU is seeking an RN for full-time day shifts to provide patient care in the postoperative unit. You will utilize the nursing process to assess and monitor patients, document care, and ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

You will coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams, advocate for patients, and adhere to Mercy Service Standards while supporting continuous improvement in perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a nursing program (ASN/ADN, diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Evaluates care effectiveness provided by direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
