Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU to support our ambulatory surgical centers. The role focuses on assessing patients, planning perioperative care, and delivering accurate hand-offs to the care team.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree and an active RN license, with BLS/BCLS and ACLS certified within 90 days (PALS if pediatrics is involved). Perioperative certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• At least 1 year PACU experience preferred.
• Current state RN licensure in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment.
• Perioperative/Nursing or Perianesthesia certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status throughout the episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide hand-off report to teammates that is accurate and pertinent to patient’s condition.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
