Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PACU to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. This full-time role includes a 8:00-4:30 schedule, with weeknight and weekend call rotation as described.

Eligible candidates must hold an RN license in Kentucky (or a multistate license) and complete ACLS/PALS within 1 year of hire; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; RN licensure accepted in lieu of degree.
• Current Kentucky RN license or multi‑state license; BLS required; ACLS/PALS within 1 year of hire.
• Direct and indirect patient care in PACU using nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in the PACU using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Meets the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families.
• Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Reports to the Director of Surgery.
