Shrewsbury Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, Inc, is hiring a full-time PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuity and quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia.

The role requires an accredited RN education, active state licensure, BLS/ACLS (PALS as needed), and strong clinical judgment. Expect collaboration with physicians and a fast-paced ambulatory setting in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
