Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in New Jersey.
• Accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Experience in perioperative or critical care nursing desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs, airway status, and consciousness during the immediate postoperative period.
• Administer medications and pain management interventions as prescribed.
• Assess and manage postoperative complications such as respiratory issues or bleeding.
• Document patient status and progress in medical records accurately.
• Communicate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and families about care plans.
• Prepare patients for transfer or discharge and educate patients and families on care.
• Maintain a safe, clean PACU environment following infection control protocols.
