Shrewsbury Surgery Center in Missouri is hiring a full-time PACU Registered Nurse to provide safe, continuous care for patients emerging from anesthesia.

You will assess patients, support physicians in procedure rooms, and ensure smooth discharge planning, with emphasis on nursing judgment, workload prioritization, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU
• Assess patient condition and ensure safety, comfort, and privacy at all times
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from anesthesia and/or sedation
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family in preparation for discharge

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Shrewsbury Surgery Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Pay Range

$39.93/hr - $59.90/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
