Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for PACU in New Jersey. The role focuses on comprehensive patient assessment, development of individualized care plans, and collaboration with physicians and the broader clinical team.

Two years of PACU experience in an acute care setting is required. NJ RN license and BCLS are mandatory, ACLS/PALS are preferred. This on-site role offers opportunities for professional development within a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years' PACU experience in an acute care setting.
• LPN/ RN licensure as applicable in NJ.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/data collection focusing on physiologic, cognitive and cultural diversity of the patient.
• Applies knowledge of illness and uses resources in assessment processes.
• Provides written assessment of patient on admission and as needed under policy.
• Forms goal-directed care plans and prioritizes resource use.
• Collaborates with physicians and other clinicians in planning interventions.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions per standards.
• Documents nursing interventions and patient/family needs.
• Evaluates patient response and revises plan of care accordingly.
• Participates in staff development and performance improvement activities.
• Works with healthcare team and performs other duties as required.
